Cookie Policy

Cookie Policy in accordance with articles 13 and 14 of EU Reg. 2016/679

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files usually containing an anonymous unique identifier that are sent to the browser by a Web server that are then saved to the hard drive of users’ computers. Cookies are then reread and recognized only by the Web site that sent them every time a connection is made to the site.
We remind you that the browser is the software that makes it possible to surf the net through the visualization and transfer of information to the hard drive of users’ computers. If your browser preferences are set to accept cookies, any Web site can send their cookies to the browser, but –to protect privacy – they can only detect those sent by the same site and not those sent to the browser from other sites.
In any case cookies do not cause any damage to users’ computers

ALTERNATIVES FOR SETTING UP COOKIES

Users’ privacy is ensured essentially by the fact that at any time they can:
  • set up the browser to accept all cookies, reject all or receive a warning when they are sent,
  • cancel one, some or all cookies.
Every browser has its own specific settings therefore please remember to see the “Help” section of your browser to get more information on how to change the preferences.

HOW COOKIES ARE USED ON THIS SITE

The use of so-called session cookies (that are not saved permanently on users’ computers and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to transmitting session identifiers necessary to enable safe and efficient use of the site.
We use cookies essentially to understand how users interact with the Service and to help users by speeding up and personalizing communication and navigation as much as possible and to put ourselves in the position to provide a better service. Using cookies makes it possible to recognize users (more precisely the device/computer used by them) who have already visited our site, allowing us to remember for example how many times they have visited and highlight any updates.
So-called session cookies used by this site avoid the use of other technology that could prejudice users’ confidentiality and navigation and do not allow for the acquisition of personal identification data.
In any case cookies do not cause any damage to devices used by users, and we pay particular attention when selecting all third-party vendors that set up cookies for their own aims.

THIRD PARTY COOKIES AND SOCIAL PLUGINS

There are links to other third-party web sites that allow users to access and use some services on the site: mainly “Social Plugins” (hereafter referred to as plugins) to social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.… These plugins are deactivated by default, i.e. they do not send data to the respective social network without your consent.
To activate plugins, click on them. Plugins remain active until they are deactivated again, or their cookies are cancelled, it is also possible for users to deactivate them using the settings in the browser. After they are activated a direct connection to the server of the respective social network is established. Content associated with plugins is therefore transmitted directly from the social network to your browser and connected to the web page using the latter.
Activating the relative service these third-party web sites can archive cookies on users’ computers using the browser and collect a series of data irrespective of your interaction with the same plugin and can use the information relating to users’ visits even to provide targeted ads on their web sites.
To understand the purpose and extent of detection and processing/use carried out by third-party web sites in which we play no part, users can access the information and privacy policy available on the social networks present on the site.
While navigating the site users could nevertheless even receive cookies from sites or web servers on their computers from subjects that are unknown to the Data Controller (so-called “third-party” cookies”): this happens because there could be elements on the site such as for example images, maps, sounds, specific links to web sites from other domains that are stored on other servers other than those where the requested page can be found. In other words, these cookies are set up directly by different web sites or server managers. These third parties could in theory set up cookies while you are visiting a site and therefore obtain information relating to the fact that you have visited the site.
For more information relating to these third party companies, unknown to the Data Controller, that by using cookies could have acquired personal data and process please see the link www.youronlinechoices.com/it/ and access the customization service “your choices” there to give your consent.

They can be grouped into browsing or session cookies, which allow users to navigate and use a website (e.g. to purchase items online or authenticate themselves to access certain sections); analytics cookies, which can be equated to technical cookies insofar as they are used directly by the website manager to collect aggregate information on the number of visitors and the pattern of visits to the website; functional cookies, which allow users to navigate as a function of certain pre-determined criteria ( for example language, products to be purchased) so as to improve the quality of service provided. Users´ prior consent is not necessary to install these cookies.
